For the Delaunays, wine is more than a business—it is a religion, a passion passed down through generations despite all obstacles.
Laurent Delaunay
A renowned oenologist and descendant of five generations of traditional Burgundy négociants-éleveurs, Laurent founded the independent Maison Badet Clément in 1995, now known as DELAUNAY Vins & Domaines. Laurent possesses a remarkable talent for crafting exceptional wines, earning prestigious awards in just a few years. A world traveler like his grandfather, he thrives on discovery, challenging conventions, and blending diverse influences. His deep market knowledge is matched by an extraordinary intuition for anticipating evolving tastes.
Catherine Delaunay
Co-founder of Maison Delaunay and director of creative production, Catherine is an exceptional taster. Born into a family of Beaujolais winemakers who still operate Domaine du Guéret in Moulin-à-Vent, she approaches wine composition like a musician interpreting a score of terroirs. Her expertise and vision guide the entire Delaunay production. Catherine is also the creator of Les Jamelles, the largest range of varietal wines in Southern France—an international success story.
Jeanne Delaunay
The inheritor of her family’s expertise, Jeanne bridges the north and south: Burgundy, the Delaunay family’s birthplace, and Languedoc, home to Badet Clément. Recently returned from Australia and deeply committed to sustainable development, Jeanne is dedicated to synthesizing the diverse influences dear to Maison Delaunay. She applies a unique methodology that combines Burgundy techniques with the rich varietals of Languedoc to craft exceptional wines.
